Riwaka Retreat Holiday Accommodation
Owners of Virtual Cycle Trail metres – Latitude 41.075793 South Longitude 173.003361
We are sure this cycle trail will become one of the regions true icons. A loop trail, 175kms, from Nelson to Tapawera, then down the beautiful Motueka River Valley to Riwaka and Kaiteriteri. It then loops back to Nelson via Mapua and Rabbit Island.
Along the way the opportunites are numerous. Vineyards and wine tasting, historical sites, quiet bush roads and coastal enclaves. Just one option for the keen outdoors enthusiast is to deviate to the diverse Kahurangi National Park for some hiking around Mt Arthur.
From Riwaka an 8km cycle takes you to our renowned and beautifully golden, Kaiteriteri Beach. From here the joys of the Abel Tasman are just a water taxi away. For that extra challenge, Kaiteriteri also has one of the districts best mountain bike parks starting just a short distance from the beach.
Riwaka Retreat Holiday Accommodation sits on a country back road next to the Tasman Great Taste Trail. We have purchased our very own piece of virtual cycle trail where it passes our driveway. Latitude 41.075793 South Longitude 173.003361.
We have welcomed cyclists for many years and joining one of our guided walks, or guided walk and kayak options is a popular way to see the Abel Tasman National Park. Taking one of our accommodation and walk packages supplies you with your own breakfasts and lunches, and provides transport to Kaiteriteri or Marahau for water taxi start points into the Abel Tasman.
Join us at Riwaka Retreat Holiday Accommodation and let us take care of the details while you immerse yourself in our beautiful region.

" We absolutely fell in love with the Riwaka Ritz. Best accommodation of the trip. Our perfect little getaway. Ken and Maree were just perfect and we really enjoyed the lemons and zucchini – thank you! The walk with Ken was very informative. Kayaking was new to us and lots of fun. Too bad we couldn’t stay longer! " Theresa & Georg, Germany
